This is an urgent and final reminder that the 3G mobile network is being shutdown on 28 October 2024 and there is just 1 week remaining to take action and alert your customers.
What is happening?
The Telstra 3G network will be decommissioned on 28 October 2024 and devices that are not 4G/5G compatible will lose network access, including the ability to make emergency calls.
What you need to do
- If you haven’t already, you should check your device compatibility by texting “3G” to 3498.
- Encourage Upgrades: If any devices are not compatible, they will need to upgrade to a new device or update their software (if possible) before October 28th.
